Man appears in court over Carlow shooting

Gardaí said that they have charged a man in his early forties in connection with the shooting of a 25-year-old man.

GARDAÍ HAVE CHARGED a man in connection with a shooting in Carlow.

He was due to appear at a special sitting of Carlow District Court at 6.15 pm today.

Gardaí investigating a shooting incident which occurred at Burrin Road, Carlow on 18 September said they had charged a man in his early forties.

A 25-year-old man was shot a number of times and received injuries to his knee and stomach during the incident on Monday.

He was taken to St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny to be treated for his injuries.
