Dilemma

The Burning Question*: Should you eat from the second layer of the chocolate box?

Let TheJournal.ie distract you from the ‘serious’ news with one of life’s REAL dilemmas. (*not really)

WE KNOW HOW you feel. It’s Monday, you have the whole week looming ahead, and you have a lot on your plate.

So do like we do here in TheJournal.ie HQ and get stuck into a serious debate on one of life’s most pressing issues.

Possibly.

This week: Currently, the treats table in TheJournal.ie HQ looks a little like this:

The post-Christmas stock of chocolate boxes and biscuit tins still hasn’t been demolished (although we’re doing our best). It led to a bit of an argument over the weekend between two staffers who will remain anonymous. One decided to go rummaging in the second layer of the Milk Tray for her favourite (a Strawberry Kiss), while the other looked on in disdain.

Was he right? Was she committing a cardinal sin? Should she have selected from the first tray of deliciousness?

Or quickly rooted around the second tray for the good stuff?

Where do you sit on this important issue? Should you be allowed eat from the second layer before the first is finished?

No, no, no. Otherwise the world would be filled with unwanted biscuits and chocolates (1794)
Yes, stop trying to ruin Christmas, treat police (482)
