Christmas

You might cry. We certainly did.

AN ANONYMOUS TIPSTER sent us this gorgeous photo of their dad’s garden. “My dad’s Christmas lights to welcome his 10 week old granddaughter from America.” Don’t hold back, let the tears come.

This photo of Michael Whoriskey’s winter wonderland in Kerrykeel Donegal also made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside:

And this crazy looking tree topper from Jenny Lynch caught out attention. The ‘angel’ has been on top of her family’s tree since 1975 – the year her brother was born.

She’s now affectionately known as the ‘hooker angel’ with her slightly crazy pink hair and lace dress. God knows what my parents were on when they bought her, but she’s now as much a part of the family Christmas.

Each to their own, we say.

Declan McGinty in Mayo went for a more traditional approach to Christmas décor. Wait a minute…

Apparently crabs are a big part of an Alaskan Christmas. This fellow looks pretty festive anyway. Thanks to Ciara Skully for sharing this with us.

Do you have any impressive or strange decorations you’d like to share with us? Send them to tips@thejournal.ie and we might just feature them on TheJournal.ie on Christmas Day.
