Clare student is Google’s newest doodler

Patrick Horan will share his design with millions of people on 16 March.

THIS IS THE doodle that will appear on Google’s homepage in Ireland on 16 March.

Doodled by sixth year student Patrick Horan from St Munchin’s College in Limerick, the design depicts a desire to turn back time and see how people lived in the past.

Patrick, who is actually from Clonlara in Clare, is the fourth annual winner of the Doodle 4 Google competition. He has won his school a €10,000 technology grant and a laptop for himself and his teacher.

His entry was picked from over 2,300 doodles. All 75 finalists were invited to a special fun day at Google’s headquarters in Dublin today.
