Man arrested after Clonsilla shooting

A male in his 20s received minor injuries in the incident.

A MAN IN his 20s received minor injuries to his leg in a shooting incident in Dublin early this morning.

At about 5am, a firearm was discharged outside a house at Fortlawn Park in Clonsilla. The victim was taken to Connolly Hospital but Gardaí described his injuries “not serious”.

Shortly after the shooting, a man – who is also in his 20s – was arrested and taken to Clondalkin Garda Station, where he is still detained.

Gardaí confirmed that they are also investigating the circumstances of another incident in the same housing estate overnight.

Damage was done to a front window of a house following another discharge of a firearm after 2am. Nobody was injured.
