THREE BRITISH MEN who were arrested in connection with a massive cocaine seizure off the coast of Ireland this week will appear in court this evening.

The men, aged 70, 34 and 28-years-old, were arrested on Wednesday on board a yacht off the Cork coast and armed naval officers seized €80 million worth of cocaine. Two other men were also arrested in England in connection with the haul.

This evening gardaí said the three men arrested here will appear before a special sitting of Cork City Court at 8pm, charged in relation to the seizure.

Today BBC also reported that a motorboat, believed to be linked to the yacht, was seized at a marina in Wales.
