Model defends controversial 'upskirt' Calvin Klein ad

Some people have described the image as predatory.

THE MODEL PHOTOGRAPHED in a controversial Calvin Klein advertisement has defended the image.

The brand’s Spring 2016 advertising campaign has a number of provocative images, but one in particular stands out.

Some people are unhappy with the photograph of Klara Kristin, which was taken at a low angle and shows her underwear. It’s captioned: “I flash in #mycalvins.”

Calvin Klein faced a backlash on social media after sharing the image, with some Twitter and Instagram users saying it was disrespectful and promoted predatory behaviour given the upskirt angle.

Kristin has now taken to Instagram to defend the image.

“All this discussion about it makes me think about how alienated and scared some people are to the female human body … Be and love yourself and your sexuality,” she wrote.

The image is part of the fashion giant’s Erotica campaign, which was photographed by Harley Weir.

It also features images of Kendall Jenner (above) and Justin Bieber.
