Man found dead in Cork city centre

The man’s body was discovered in a car park in the south of the city early this morning.

A MAN HAS been found dead near Cork city centre early this morning.

The man’s body was discovered by a passer-by at 7.30am at a Cork City Council car park at White Street in the city.

Gardaí have confirmed that the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious.

A Garda technical examination of the area has taken place and the man’s body has been removed to Cork University Hospital.

It’s understood that the man was found by a homeless person, but it is not clear whether or not the man himself was homeless.

A post-mortem will be carried out on the man’s body later today.
