Man was out when two armed, masked men called to his home to find him

A woman in her 40s, who was in the house at the time, was left in complete shock by the armed men.

DETECTIVES IN NORTH Belfast are appealing for information after two armed, masked men called to a home in the Cranbrook Court area earlier looking for a man who lived in the house.

Just after midday, the two masked men went to a house looking for the male resident who was not in. It is reported that they were armed with a gun.

When they realised that the man was not home, they made off in the direction of Velsheda.

A woman in her 40s, who was in the house at the time, was not injured but but was left in complete shock.
