Witness appeal after man (20s) killed in 4am Christmas Day crash

It’s believed the motorcyclist hit a metal railing on a traffic island.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses after a motorcyclist in his 20s died in a single vehicle road crash in Dublin the early hours of Christmas Day.

It happened at around 3.50am at the junction of Crumlin Road and Sundrive Road, in the west of the city.

It’s believed the man hit a metal railing on a traffic island.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been taken to the Dublin City Morgue. A post-mortem is scheduled to take place.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have information is asked to contact Crumlin gardaí at 01 666 62 00.
