Man dies after car crashes into parked van

The man, aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his 60s has died after his car crashed into an unoccupied parked van this afternoon.

The crash happened near Paulstown in Kilkenny at around 4pm.

The driver was the sole occupant of the car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body later removed to Waterford Hospital.

The road was closed for a time as forenic tests were carried out, but has since re-opened.

Anyone who witnessed what happened is being asked to contact Bagenalstown Garda Station on 059 977 4120.
