Man shot with crossbow as he sat in parked car

A woman also in the car escaped unharmed. A 28-year-old man has been arrested.

A 29-YEAR-OLD MAN was shot in the arm as he sat in a parked car on Belfast’s Belgravia Avenue yesterday.

Police are appealing for information on the attack, which happened at around 5.20pm.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment. A 29-year-old woman also in the car was not injured.

A 28-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of several offences including attempted murder, police say. He remains in custody.

Anyone who saw what happened is being asked to call Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number ’101′.
