A WOMAN ESCAPED a fire that gutted the house she was in by jumping from an upstairs window last night in west Dublin.

Four Dublin Fire Brigade units and a senior fire officer were called to the incident, at Cushlawn Park in Tallaght, just after 10 pm last night a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed.

Two adults and three children were in the house at the time.

The other adult and the children escaped from the building’s entrance, with just the woman, believed to be aged in her 30s, jumping from the upstairs window.

She has since been taken to hospital for treatment of the injuries she sustained from the fall, and for smoke inhalation.

There were no other injuries.

The incident was officially ended by Dublin Fire Brigade just before 1am. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
