Three men arrested in relation to 2011 murder case

The arrests are in relation to the shooting dead of 22-year-old Darren Cogan on 25 June 2011.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED three males in relation to the two-year-old shooting of Darren Cogan.

The shooting took place on 25 June 2011 when a lone gunman entered the Black Horse Inn bar in Inchicore in Dublin 8 just after midnight.

22-year-old Cogan died from his injuries while a 21-year-old sustained non life-threatening wounds.

Two males were arrested yesterday morning, with the third man arrested earlier today. All the arrests were made in the Dublin area.

Those arrested range in age from their mid-20s to mid-30s and are being detained at Kilmainham and Kevin Street garda stations under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
