DART SERVICES between Dún Laoghaire and Bray have resumed this evening after an earlier suspension due to significant flooding on the line.

Services on the line were twice suspended earlier this afternoon, as heavy rain caused flooding close to Dún Laoghaire station.

Services on all lines are now fully operational again, although customers are told to expect delays due to reduced speeds in the worst-hit areas.

The Garda press office has just said that the lower Strawberry Beds road is currently closed. Look at www.aaireland.ie for traffic updates around the country.

The eastern coast has faced significant wet weather and wind today, with small seacrafts are warned that westerly winds will reach force 6 on certain coasts.

Local flooding might affect some areas tonight, with further heavy rain expected.

Met Éireann has issued a severe weather warning, saying that a further 25–40mm of rain is likely to fall in east Leinster and much of Ulster.

There is even a risk of slight ground frost in the south west.
