Death of 36-year-old woman being 'treated as suspicious'

The PSNI has arrested a 62-year-old man in connection with the incident.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have launched an investigation following the death of a woman in Claudy.

This was reported to police at around 4.30am this morning.

The woman was found at a house on the Glenshane Road.

A 62-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Speaking about the incident, Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey said: “The death is unexplained and is being treated as suspicious at present. A post-mortem examination will be required to establish the cause of death.” 

Anyone with any information is being asked to come forward.
