Diversions lifted on N11 after earlier incident on bridge

Gardai diverted traffic from N11 to M50 to keep road clear after a man’s behaviour on the bridge caused concern.

Updated 13.35

GARDAI HAVE LIFTED diversions from the scene of an incident on a bridge over the N11 where a man’s behaviour caused concern earlier this morning.

A number of gardai and squad cars had been at the bridge, which is situated near Loughlinstown hospital and the Loughlinstown roundabout, after a man had been in some distress there.

One lane of the road had been blocked and traffic had been diverted from that point at the N11 to the M50 to leave the road clear.

Gardai have this lunchtime confirmed that the man was removed from the scene unharmed and the scene has been cleared and diversions lifted.
