Man dies in Donegal single-car collision

The male driver, who was in his twenties, was fatally injured when his car left the road and came to a stop in a field.

A MAN IN his twenties has died in a single-car collision in Co Donegal.

Gardaí at Ballybofey are investigating the collision that occured last night at approximately 11pm at Treanamullin, Stranorlar, Co Donegal.

The male driver, who gardaí say was in his mid 20s, was fatally injured when his car left the road and came to a stop in a field. He was removed by ambulance to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The road where the collision occured is currently closed, pending an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.

Diversions are in place from Stranorlar via The Cross and Killygordon when travelling from Stranorlar towards Lifford and from Killygordon via the Cross to Stranorlar/Ballybofey.
