That led to the search of a house in Drogheda in the early hours of Saturday where gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit and Drogheda gardai found a cannabis growhouse – in it was cannabis plants with a potential street value of around €600,000.

It was the second large cannabis seizure this weekend. Gardai found cannabis herb and resin with an estimated street value of €700,000 in a house at Hazel Grove Court in Tallaght last night.

Although that search was planned, there were no arrests made at the scene yesterday.
