Two held after Dublin drugs and ammunition seizure

The search of a house in west Tallaght yielded drugs worth €90,000 and a quantity of ammunition.

DRUGS AND AMMUNITION were seized by gardaí after the search of a house in Tallaght, west Dublin last night.

A man and a woman in their 30s were also arrested following the search which was undertaken as part of a planned operation.

The house in west Tallaght was raided by gardaí at about 8:50pm yesterday evening and cocaine, heroin along with a quantity of ammunition were seized.

The drugs are to be analysed by gardaí but are estimated to a have a combined estimated street value of €90,000.

The two people arrested are currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

They can be held at the station for up to 24 hours by gardaí but the period can be extended following an application to the district court.
