Gardaí seize €480k of cannabis, make two arrests in raids across Limerick

Two drug units were involved in the raids.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED €480,000 worth of cannabis plants and herb in a series of raids in Limerick.

Four locations in the Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale areas were searched today by gardaí from the National and Limerick drug units, with the help of local gardaí.

Two men, aged 36 and 39, were arrested.

They are currently detained at Henry Street and Newcastle West Garda Stations.

“These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks,” a garda spokesperson said.

“Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.”
