THREE MEN HAVE been arrested in what gardaí describe as an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of supply of controlled substances.
A car was stopped and searched on the Malahide Road, Artane in Dublin 5 late on Friday night.
During the search gardaí discovered 1 kilo of cannabis herb with an estimated value of €25,000.
Three men, all in early 20s, were arrested and are currently detained at Clontarf Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their network, said the gardaí.
They added that drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities and also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
