Two arrested in overnight drug seizure in Dublin

A quantity of cannabis worth €400,000 was also seized during a search in Lucan last night.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two people and seized a quantity of cannabis worth €400,000 overnight in Dublin.

As part of an on-going investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region, the Lucan Drugs Unit and gardaí from the Garda National Drugs Unit carried out a search of a house in the Hillcrest Heights area of Lucan, last night.

During the course of the search, a quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €400,000 was seized. A male in his late 20′s and female in her early 20′s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Ronanstown and Lucan Garda Station.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
