Teenager arrested after €2,000 worth of heroin found on him

A further €43,000 was found in another search.

A TEENAGER HAS been arrested after €45,000 worth of heroin was seized in Clondalkin.

The man was arrested as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Ronanstown area.

Gardaí from the Ronanstown Drugs Unit carried out an operation in the Balgaddy area earlier today.

They stopped a male teenager and recovered around €2,000 of heroin (subject to analysis) on him. He was arrested and taken to Ronanstown Garda station where he currently detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

As part of a follow-up search of a house on Foxdene Avenue, Clondalkin heroin with an approximate street value of €43,000 (subject to analysis) was seized.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
