A DRIVER HAS been arrested and charged after being caught driving at 195 kilometres per hour and testing positive for cocaine and cannabis.

The speeding bike was spotted on the Chapelizod bypass in Dublin.

Meanwhile in Clare, a motorist was caught speeding at 110 kilometres per hour in a 50 zone.

It happened on the N67 Ennis to Kilrush road. A fixed charge penalty notice will follow.

This week speed cameras went live in the Port Tunnel and speed limits were lowered to 30km/h at 10 selected regions in the outskirts of Dublin city centre.
