Ombudsman investigates death of young man in Dungarvan Garda station

THE GARDA OMBUDSMAN is investigating the death of a young man at Dungarvan Garda station in Co Waterford earlier today.

The man in his early 20s was found dead in the station shortly before 11am this morning.

The matter was referred to the Ombudsman by the Garda Commissioner, as is standard procedure.

A spokesperson for the Ombudsman said that investigators are on their way to the scene.
