Man to appear in court after Longford residents are threatened at knifepoint

Gardaí arrived at the scene shortly after occupants of the house raised the alarm.

A MAN IS due to appear before Longford District Court today in relation to an aggravated burglary that took place yesterday morning.

A number of men entered a house in Edgeworthstown at around 1.30am on Sunday before threatening occupants at knifepoint.

The 34-year-old man will appear in court at 10.30am.

A second man (41), who was arrested following a pursuit on foot, remains in custody.

All property taken during the course of the burglary has been recovered.

Gardaí also seized a car as part of the investigation.
