1. #CORPORATION TAX: Facebook Ireland’s profit rose to €3bn last year in Ireland but the company paid just €2.3 million in tax, the Irish Independent reports. That’s half of what it paid in 2012.

2. #IRISH WATER: A third of households don’t plan on paying their water charges, according to a poll in The Irish Times. 11% are still undecided.

3. #MISSING: A fresh search in the investigation into the disappearance of Fiona Pender, missing since 1996, is due to begin this morning near Portlaoise.

4. #ERIC GARNER: Protests have continued in several US cities after a white police officer was not indicted over the death of a unarmed black man, the Guardian reports. Obama has pledged to improve relations between communities and the police.

5. #SAVITA: University Hospital Galway has been ‘reasonably compliant’ with recommendations imposed following the death of Savita Halappanavar, The Irish Times reports.

6. #CUTS: All four sites operated by the National Museum of Ireland could be closed in January if increased funding isn’t granted. Documents obtained by RTÉ’s Morning Ireland said that fees may have to be charged.

7. #JOURNALIST: RTÉ’s John Kilraine was robbed at knifepoint in his home in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The Irish Daily Mail reports that the burglar made off with the reporter’s BMW, an iPhone, and a sum of cash.

8. #LEADERSHIP: Fine Gael TD Eoghan Murphy has said the party needs to find a way to reconnect with voters in the wake of another poor poll showing yesterday, but does he think Leo would be a better leader than Enda? We asked  him four times.

9. #RESCUE: A six-week-old baby who stopped breathing for ten minutes was saved by a member of the public in Dublin’s Ilac Centre. The Irish Daily Star reports that Nikita Hutch (21) stepped in and preformed mouth-to-mouth and CPR on the infant, who was discharged from hospital the following day.
