1. #ELECTION: Enda Kenny intends to lead Fine Gael into the 2021 general election, the party’s chief whip Paul Kehoe told the Irish Examiner. Kehoe also said he expects there will be a vote transfer pact between his party and Labour.

2. #WET WET WET: Ireland is under a blanket of cloud today with rain expected in all areas. Temperatures will be as high as 18 degrees.

3. #BIRTH CONTROL: Use of the pill, even for just a few years, gives substantial long-term protection against womb cancer, new research has shown.

4. #REUNION ISLAND: Australia has said official word on whether a washed-up plane part is from Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 could come as soon as this week.

5. #SPLISH SPLASH: The Government could stand to lose more than €70 million on domestic water charges this year, based on current compliance rates analysed by Fianna Fáil.

7. #LIMERICK: Gardaí in Limerick have released a man who was being questioned following the alleged assault and robbery of an 89-year-old woman outside her home.

8.#CATHOLIC CHURCH: Diarmuid Martin has told the Irish Independent that Catholic schools should be allowed to prioritise children who are baptised. The archbishop said the schools are often oversubscribed, and that “it’s not far to blame the church”.

9. #FLY ANOTHER DAY: Pierce Brosnan was stopped at an airport in the United States on Sunday for having a knife on him. The former James Bond actor was stopped at an airport security checkpoint in Vermont.
