1. #TRUMP: US presidential candidate Donald Trump has come under fire from Barack Obama, who labelled him as “woefully unprepared” and “unfit to serve as president”. He also told a Virginia mother to get crying baby “out of here” at an event.

2. #NORTH KOREA: Japan and the US have hit out at North Korea after it launched a missile which landed 250km off the coast of Japan.

3. #BARNARDOS: The children’s charity has launched its annual back to school costs survey which showed that the cost of sending a first year student back to school was €775.   

4. #RESTRICTIONS: Figures released yesterday show that over a quarter of credit unions are limited in what they lend members.  

5. #STAFF SHORTAGES: Figures given to the Regional Health Forum for Dublin and the North East have shown two Dublin hospitals are short over 300 staff.

7. #DEATH: A young girl died yesterday evening in a farming accident in Mayo.

8. #ATTACKS: There have been reports of chemical gas attacks in two cities in Syria as opposition put the blame n the Assad regime and Russia, while the government blamed a “terrorist group”.

9. #SLOWDOWN: Ireland’s growth is set to slow by the end of the year, as a Brexit-related recession in the United Kingdom hits exports and investment in Ireland.
