There are some evil people out there

Hopefully these people will get the punishment they deserve and not just a fine and probation. With 204 acts of cruelty this is a serious offence. How many cases have been heard of serial killers or more serious criminals who started off being cruel to animals. It’s about time the courts realized this and handed out harder punishments to stop these criminals in their steps and deter others from contemplating such cruelty.
All too often animals suffer at the hands of humans and it’s about time the courts stood up and defended them.

Yes, my cat was poisioned last night.

Quick question for those in the know about these matters–
The story seems to me (having been raised on media in the US) lacking in “lurid details” that one would expect to find in a story. Are there restrictions on what can be published about impending court hearings or the participants, or are there simply few details released about the acts alleged, or is it just the custom that such details are deliberately omitted?

I’m not complaining, mind you. We could all use a few less “lurid details” in our daily lives, but this story mentions no names of those charged and no specifics of the charges. Why is that? Thanks.
