Eight in Belfast court over 204 animal cruelty charges

The charges relate to an investigation which culminated in property searches across Belfast last year.

ONE WOMAN AND seven men are to appear at a Belfast court on Thursday, charged with 204 offences.

The eight people, aged between 18 and 41, have been charged in relation to an investigation into alleged animal cruelty and other wildlife offences.

During a related operation in November, a number of dogs and other items were seized during a search of a number of properties. Officers from the USPCA assisted in the raids.
