Liam Hogan

6
Party: Labour
Constituency: Cavan-Monaghan

This will be Liam Hogan's first general election. He previously unsuccessfully contested a local election for Cavan in 2009. Having witnessed first-hand the economic difficulties of some close friends and family, he decided to act on his anger and approached the Labour Party to see how best he could contribute. Prior to his political calling, Hogan worked in a variety of social services and also advised the Department of Education and Science and the HSE on programs designed to help at-risk children and immigrants.

Policies
  • Attract new jobs, retain existing employment and develop local employment opportunities
  • Develop agri-food and tourism sectors
  • Promote sustainable development and ensure that this generation does not suffer from poverty and emigration that our country experienced in the past

Hogan is the treasurer of Cavan Shamrocks FC.
