Having failed to win a Dáil seat in 2007, Tony Mulcahy is set to stand again for Fine Gael in Clare. The Fine Gael councillor has been active in local politics since 1994 when he was first elected to Shannon Town Council. He has also served on Clare County Council for over eleven years since first winning a seat in 1999. Mulcahy has also been an active contributor to campaigns to improve the rights of people with disabilities and he is currently serving as the vice-chairperson of the Clare Federation of People with Special Needs.

Did you know?

A former chef and restaurant owner, Mulcahy now runs his own industrial catering business supplying food to outlets in Shannon.
