    Good Morning!

Right, I’m Niall Smith so rather than blow my own trumpet excessively, I’ll just post the main spokes of the election campaign.

Electoral reform; Move to a single National List system, enough with this local TD acting as your county councillor and no-one running the country.

Local government reform. A move towards proper independent local government.

Health care reform, Break up the Dept. of Health completely. It’s too big and always results in a punch drunk minister that cannot keep tabs on everything the dept. is doing. Split the problem up to make it easier to handle, I want a dept. for acute hospital services, a dept. of social provision (Medical cards rent allowance etc)
and junior ministers for Children and Mental health.

Let some of the other smaller cabinet ministers double job.

Dail reform, 120 seats elected on a single list, abolish the Seanaid, 33% pay cut for all.

3 Sitting days per week and once a fortnight / month (as required) open agenda for ANY TD to introduce legislation including opposition.

All party’s to have open book bank accounts! You can donate as much as you lke, but the parties have to show where they get their money.

There’s a face book page, youtube and a website, all the usual.

    Thank you!

    Niall Smith
