
Councillor Ruairi McGinley has been nominated by Fine Gael to contest the election in Dublin South-Central. An accountant by profession, McGinley is a member of Dublin City Council where he has represented the Crumlin-Kimmage ward since 1995. His only previous general election campaign was in 1997 when he received just 3 per cent of first preference votes in the constituency.
