Minister for State Conor Lenihan is one of two outgoing Fianna Fáil deputies seeking to retain his seat in Dublin South-West. Prior to his election to Dáil Éireann in 1997, Lenihan previously worked as a senior executive in the telecommunications industry. Lenihan was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs with special responsibility for Overseas Development and Human Rights in September 2004.



 

Did you know?

Lenihan was involved in controversy in September 2010 when he was forced to cancel his planned attendance at the launch of a book denouncing evolution.
