Councillor Eamonn Maloney has been nominated by the Labour Party to run alongside Pat Rabbitte in Dublin South-West. Maloney, who originally hails from Donegal, has represented the Tallaght area on South Dublin County Council since 1999. Maloney unsuccessfully ran in the constituency as an independent candidate in the 1987 general election.
