Maria Corrigan

Constituency: Dublin South

Senator Maria Corrigan has been selected by Fianna Fáil as the party's candidate in Dublin South. A former member of Dún Laoighaire-Rathdown County Council, Corrigan ran in the general elections of both 2002 and 2007, pipped on the latter occasion when Alan Shatter regained his seat on the final count. She was appointed to the Seanad by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern in August 2007.

  • The introduction of Mental Capacity and Guardianship Bill
  • Additional capacity in post primary schools in Knocklyon/Rathfarnham Area and new provision of post primary school in Leopardstown/Stepaside

 

Did you know?

Before her election to the Seanad, Corrigan was the Principal Psychologist for St John of God Intellectual Disability Service.
