Constituency: Dún Laoghaire

Mike Deegan has lived and worked in South Dublin for 20 years. Educated at St Michael's College, he built a successful IT consultancy in the 1990s, employing 14 people. He attended UCD studying Politics and Art History and UCC from where he has a Diploma in Specialty Food Production. He was diagnosed with MS in 2008 and is a vocal campaigner for independent living.



Policies
  • Urgent attention to the creation of a world-class recreation facility and destination at Blackrock and/or Dun Laoghaire baths. This will create jobs and promote tourism
  • Review of services at St Michael's hospital and confirmation of security of continuation of same
  • Awareness and education campaign on older people and people with disabilities
