      Fianna Fáil TD Frank Fahey will once again represent the party at the polls in Galway West. If successful, this will be Fahey's eighth term in Dáil Éireann, his record of continuous service broken only by his defeat in the 1992 campaign when he lost out on transfers. Fahey served as Minister for the Marine in Bertie Ahern's cabinet from 2000 to 2002.
