Labour have nominated Kerry County Councillor Marie Moloney to run on behalf of the party in Kerry South. Moloney was first elected to the council in June 2009 and is currently the Deputy Mayor of Kerry. She previously worked as former TD Breeda Moynihan Cronin's secretary for fifteen years and also as an administrative assistant in SIPTU.

Moloney is a volunteer with Meals and Wheels and former secretary of Killarney Bridge Club.
