Outgoing Labour Party deputy Emmet Stagg will again represent the party at the polls in Kildare North. Stagg has been ever present in Dáil Eireann since first elected in 1987. As part of the rainbow coalition of 1994-97, the former medical technician held junior ministries in the Department of Transport and the Department of the Environment. He is currently the Labour Party's Chief Whip.

    Get a younger man in that has experience in industry and employment, somebody that has worked in private industry (recently, not decades ago).

      To right its time for new young blood! Most of the candidates have no idea what faces the public these days, we need people in power that have actually faced the lows of life and can help people who have got stuck with the bill’s that the rich don’t want to pay!!!
