Outgoing deputy Kieran O'Donnell is a Fine Gael candidate in the Limerick City constituency. The 57-year-old is a relatively new figure in national politics who was first elected to Dáil Eireann in 2007. A chartered accountant from Castletroy, O'Donnell was removed from his position as Fine Gael's interim finance spokesperson after he supported Richard Bruton's leadership challenge in 2010. He is currently the party's Deputy Spokesperson on Enterprise, Trade & Innovation.



 

Did you know?

O'Donnell is a nephew of Tom O’Donnell who was a Fine Gael TD for Limerick East for over twenty-five years from 1961 to 1987.
