Elon Musk has apologised to the Thai cave rescuer he insulted

ELON MUSK HAS apologised to a Thai cave rescuer he insulted.

The Tesla founder apologised to Vern Unsworth on Twitter this morning following a clash between the two online.

Musk had commissioned a mini-submarine which he said could help in the rescue of a Thai football team that made global headlines.

Musk was widely ridiculed for his intervention and Unsworth had criticised it as a “PR stunt”.

The Wild Boar team were subsequently rescued by an international team of divers. Unsworth, who provided mapping knowledge of the cave to rescuers, said Musk’s prototype would have had “absolutely no chance of working”

In response to Unsworth’s criticism, Musk launched the extraordinary tirade against him without providing any justification or explanation. He later deleted the tweets but Unsworth confirmed earlier this week that he was considering legal action against Musk.

Now, in a conversation with another Twitter user, Musk apologised to Unsworth and said his words had been “spoken in anger”.

“Nonetheless, his actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologise to Mr. Unsworth and to the companies I represent as leader. The fault is mine and mine alone,” Musk added.
