THE CENTRAL BANK recently announced that it is planning new rules around how much a home owner will need in a deposit.
Effectively, the rules mean the majority of home buyers will need a 20% deposit, as opposed to the customary 10%.
Reports today suggest that Taoiseach Enda Kenny is planning a work-around for this plan, however. The Taoiseach’s intervention would allow people to pay a 10% deposit.
