Armed robber left Meath post office empty-handed after threatening staff with handgun

No arrests have yet been made.

GARDAÍ IN CO Meath are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a post office in Enfield yesterday.

The incident happened just after midday in the post office, which is located in the main shopping area in the town.

A lone male walked up to the counter and threatened staff with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from them.

No money was handed over by staff and the man left empty-handed.

Gardaí are investigating the incident in an effort to identify the culprit but no arrests have yet been made.
