Bookie to refund bets on Ryan Dolan: 'He didn't deserve to finish last'

Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Only Teardrops’.

PADDY POWER ARE refunding all win and each way singles to customers who backed Ireland’s Ryan Dolan for last night’s Eurovision.

The Tyrone singer finished rock bottom so the bookmaker has decided to refund over €15,000 to the disappointed punters who backed him.

“Ryan genuinely didn’t deserve to finish last, he was well backed from the off but punters never got a run for their money and the only fair thing to do is to refund them their money, ” said a Paddy Power spokesperson.

Meanwhile, Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with her ethno-inspired flute and drum tune Only Teardrops.

She received a total of 281 points in the music battle, which also featured a bizarre opera pop number from Romania, the comeback of Total Eclipse of the Heart star Bonnie Tyler and an Armenian rock song written by the guitarist of Black Sabbath.

Here is the 20-year-old with her catchy love song:
