Kite surfer rescued after becoming separated from his board

The man got into difficulty in the South Bull Wall area of Dublin earlier today.

A KITE SURFER who became separated from his board in the South Bull Wall area of Dublin has been removed from the water.

An inshore lifeboat from the RNLI in Dún Laoghaire, which had been launched as part of a separate operation, was diverted to help the man.

Having become separated from his board, he found himself unable to make it back to the shore. Once picked up by the boat, he was brought to the beach at Pidgeon House in Ringsend, Dublin 4.

He did not sustain any injuries.

The Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter was also involved in the operation.
