Your Say

Poll: Do you put much stock in opinion polls?

Yes, we know it’s a bit meta to have a poll on polls…

IN THE RUN-up to a general election you can be sure of many things – among them, that we can expect lots and lots of polls.

The polls, carried by different organisations, will often show differing results. But it’s also true that national trends aren’t always reflected locally.

As these polls are obviously only carried out among a certain number of people, it’s fair to say they do not necessarily capture the opinions of the entire country. Still, at times they end up being a decent barometer of how people are feeling.

But what do you think: Do you put much stock opinion polls?
