Teenager due in court over Roscommon false imprisonment

Four people were initially arrested over the incident, which happened in Strokestown on Tuesday.

A MAN IN his late teens if due before court in Roscommon this morning in connection with the false imprisonment of a man in Strokestown.

Four people were initially arrested after the man in his 20s was held against his will in the town last Tuesday.

Three men and one woman – all in their late teens – were detained after gardaí searched two houses in the Roscommon area early yesterday.

A fourth man, aged in his early 20s, was arrested yesterday afternoon at a house in Strokestown.

All were questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, and three were later released without charge.

The teenager still being held is due before Castlerea District Court at 11am.
